Kuwait invites prequalifiers for airport construction work

02 July 2008
Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has invited contractors to prequalify for a construction package at Kuwait International Airport.

The scope of works covers the design and execution of an administration building and its external works, including all finishing and electro-mechanical works.

The package also includes two new fire stations serving the west runway, including all finishing, electro-mechanical works and external works.

Beirut-based Dar al-Handasah (Shair and Partners) are the consultants on the work in association with the local Jassim Qabazard Engineering Consultants.

In January the DGCA shortlisted a number of firms for infrastructure work at Kuwait International Airport. This included the design, installation and commissioning of air traffic control systems(MEED 15:1:08).
