Bids for the first and second phases of the project are due on 14 September and a pre-bid meeting will be held on 27 July.
A total of eight local companies have been prequalified for the first phase of the project. They are: Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading Company; Boodai Construction Company; Copri Construction Projects Company; Burhan International Contracting Company; Shaheen Alghanim Roads & Bridges Contracting Company; Combined Group Contracting Company; Arab Kuwait Contractors Company and Green Line General Trading & Contracting Company.
Another seven local firms prequalified for the project’s second phase: Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi & Sons; Alghanim International General Trading & Contracting Company; Gulf United Construction Company; Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction & Contracting; Mushrif Trading & Contracting Company; Mubarak Hajeref General Trading & Contracting Company; and First Kuwaiti General Trading & Contracting Company. Athens-based Consolidated Contractors Company also prequalified.
The Ministry of Public Works is the client.
