Deadline for responses set for 20 June
Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW) has launched a tender for the supply, installation, commission and maintenance a system of power and water meter readers.
Interested parties have until 20 June to respond to the tender. A pre-tender meeting will be held on 10 May.
All electricity meters shall be capable of operating in intermittent temperatures of 80oC without display failure or premature ageing of the component parts.
The meter shall be capable of two-way communication with the data collector. Concentrators will be required for the majority of these meters. The meter shall be capable of operating in either prepayment or credit mode.
For the water meters, the preferred method of measurement is by ultrasonic technology. A total of 150,180 water meters are to be supplied in the following sizes: 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 60mm and 80mm.
