Kuwait is set to receive its first LNG cargo this year around March 27, to be followed by about 38 cargoes in 2012, similar to its total imports last year, Platts has reported, citing an industry source. The Gulf country began importing LNG in 2009 to meet high gas demand during its hotter months, which generally run from April to October, said the source. Kuwait imported 33 cargoes in 2010 and 11 in 2009, the source said.
