Teams behind the Al-Zour North project expected to be named as advisers for next two power schemes
Kuwait’s Partnerships Technical Bureau (PTB) is understood to be close to reappointing the advisers it used for the Al-Zour North independent power and water plant (IWPP) for the country’s next two power projects.
The group, comprising France’s BNP Paribas, US law firm Chadbourne & Parke and Germany’s Lahmeyer International, is expected to be named as the advisory team for another IWPP at the Al-Zour North site, and also for an IWPP at Al-Khairan, according to sources close to the PTB.
Attention is beginning to shift to Kuwait’s next round of power projects as the country’s first IWPP, Al-Zour North, is expected to reach financial close in the second quarter of the year.
