Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has awarded the US’ Fluor Corporation a contract that will see the engineering contractor carry out design and project management consultancy (PMC) services for the company.

The five-year deal is worth $410m and the scope will include front-end engineering and design (feed) work, as well as PMC services for KOC’s capital expenditure programme. This will include the upgrade of existing facilities as well as some greenfield projects.

The feed work will be carried out at Fluor’s UK office in Farnborough, while the PMC services will be performed at KOC’s headquarters at Ahmadi.
