Project to help curb flow of illegal drugs and other goods

Kuwait’s General Department of Land Border Security is seeking international consultancy firms for a comprehensive land border security and surveillance project.

The project aims to boost security in the state’s northern and southern land borders in order to curb the flow of illegal drugs and other illegal goods, prevent illegal emigration and other related activities violating Kuwait’s local laws.

The comprehensive solutions the Kuwaiti government seeks to implement at its borders comprise a combination of early warning system, human-machine interface, surveillance and security sensors as well as a central command control centre, sensor management and analysis for mission planning management.

It is understood that the consultancies sought will help the Land Border Security Department to develop and implement the above solutions and integrate them with the existing security and surveillance systems.
