Kuwait's minister of public works Dr Fadhil Safar has signed three contracts for maintenance work on Al-Jahra governorate highways and streets and operation of the DMC Kabd-Wafra pumps at an overall KD7.7m, Kuna has reported. The first contract covers the maintenance of motorways and areas in Al-Jahra worth KD2.118m and small construction projects for parking, public services and utilities. It also covers rain drainage and manholes and pavement and tar repair at state institutions. The second contract worth KD3m covers overall maintenance of highways and small construction works to build bridges, pedestrian walks, and such utilities, while the third contract is worth KD2.595m and covers operation and maintenance of the treated water grid.
