The Central Tenders Committee has approved the KD5.8m ($20.7m) offer submitted by Kuwait Systems for General Trading & Contracting for the contract to provide maintenance services for the road network operated by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).
Kuwait Systems was ranked second on price when bids were submitted earlier in 2008, behind the KD4.2m offer submitted by the local Sai General Trading & Contracting.
The local Kharafi National also priced the work (MEED 13:5:08).
KOC is expected to sign the contract soon.
