Kuwait’s Central Agency for Public Tenders has shortlisted five local contractors for the operation and maintenance works contract at the Amiri Diwan airport building.
The firms are:
- Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons
- Bayan National Construction Contracting
- Al-Ahmadiah Trading & Contracting
- Al-Hani Construction & Trading
- Alghanim International General Trading
The tender is to be issued imminently.
The Amiri Diwan airport terminal caters to Kuwait’s ruling family and VIPs. It is understood to be one of the most luxurious facilities in the country.
It is located adjacent to the Kuwait International airport, which is undergoing major redevelopment works.
The airport’s $4.3bn Terminal 2 is expected to be completed by 2022.
Two new terminals, catering exclusively to state-owned Kuwait Airways and privately-owned Jazeera Airways, opened last year.
