Contractors to bid for construction deal in February 2010

Kuwait’s Electricity & Water Ministry has issued a tender for the construction of water storage tanks in the West Funaitees area.

The deadline for bids is 7 February 2010 and the ministry will hold a pre-bid meeting on 21 December.

The winning bidder will build and maintain five concrete storage tanks with capacity of 80 million gallons of water each.

The ministry has prequalified various contractors. These include local firms United Gulf Construction Company, Alghanim International General Trading & Contracting Company, Arab Kuwait Contractors Company, Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction & Contracting, Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons General Trading & Contracting Company, Mushrif General Trading & Contracting Company, Burhan Kuwait Trading & Contracting Company, Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading Company, Boodai Constructions Company, Al-Hani Construction and Trading Company, Combined Group Contracting Company, Copri Construction Projects Company, and Bayan National Trading Company.

Athens-based Consolidated Contractors Company completes the list.
