Kuwait's housing authority prequalifies companies for construction work

14 April 2008
Kuwait’s Public Authority for Housing Care (PAHC) has prequalified 14 companies for construction work in the Ali Sabah al-Salem suburb’s western sector.

The work will include the construction, completion and maintenance of a number of buildings including the main mosque, residences, police station, health centre, transformer stations and main services works.

Bids can submitted from 1 May, and the closing date for bids is 25 May.

In April, PAHC postponed the closing date for bids for infrastructure work on the multi-billion dollar Sabah al-Ahmed Future City megaproject. The closing date for bids is now 18 May, instead of 6 April.

Sabah al-Ahmed Future City, located 50 kilometre south of Kuwait City, will have a population of 110,000 once completed in 2015 (MEED 7:04:08).
