Ten firms prequalify for Gamal Abdul Nasser street deal
Kuwait’s Public Works Ministry has issued a tender for a construction and maintenance contract for works at Gamal Abdul Nasser Street, in the West Shuwaikh area of Kuwait.
The ministry has invited the 10 prequalified contractors to submit bids for the project by 13 June 2010.
The contract will involve construction and maintenance of overhead roads and paths, and the construction, testing and maintenance of sanitary and rainwater drainage systems.
The contract is part of the ministry’s larger project to upgrade Gamal Abdul Nasser Street.
The prequalified bidders are Greece’s Aktor; an Italian joint venture of Baldassini, Tognozzi, and Ponteit Construzioni Generali; China Railway 18th Bureau; China Railway Construction Corporation; Athens-based Consolidated Contractors International Company (CCC); China Major Bridge Engineering Company; India’s Gammon; Russia’s Mostovik; Italy’s Rizzane de Eccher with Spain’s Obrascon Huarte Lain and Trevi Group, also of Italy; and Japan’s Taisei Corporation.
