The 200,000 barrel a day (b/d) refinery is being built at Nghi Son
Kuwait’s oil minister has announced that plans are on track to build a joint refining and petrochemical project at Vietnam’s second-largest refinery, Kuna has reported. The 200,000 barrel a day (b/d) refinery in Nghi Son is being developed by Petrovietnam in a joint venture with Kuwait Petroleum International, Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan and Mitsui Chemicals. “I came to Hanoi once again to speed up the process and help ensure the implementation of the Nghi Son Petrochemical Refinery Project in 2014,” Sheikh Ahmad al-Abdullah al-Sabah said in the Vietnamese capital.
