German firm to provide consultancy services for four substations
Germany’s Lahmeyer International has won a AED29.6m ($8m) contract for consultancy services on the development of Abu Dhabi’s power transmission network.
The deal covers consultancy services for four 132/11kV substations, including substations at Al-Mashtel and the presidential palaces. Lahmeyer will also provide consultancy services for a 132/22kV substation project at the Al-Falah development.
Abu Dhabi Transmission & Despatch Company (Transco) is the client.
Transco has also awarded a AED16.3m consultancy contract to the UK’s Mott MacDonald. The company will provide consultancy services for a new 220/33kV substation at Qushawira and associated 220kV overhead transmission lines.
Separately, UK-based PB Power has won a AED22.3m contract for 400kV cable and substation modification work at Bahiya and Saadiyat Island.
