Work is due to begin immediately and is scheduled for completion by May 2012.
Located between the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai in Taweelah, Khalifa Port & Industrial Zone is designed as a multi-purpose facility.
The scheme involves the construction of a world-scale container and industrial port in addition to the development of more than 100 square kilometres of buildings for industrial, residential and other uses in the first phase.
