According to figures by Lebanon's directorate of real estate, the value of property sales in the country fell 14.5% in the first quarter of 2011 to $1.808bn, compared with the first quarter of last year, The Daily Star has reported. The number of property sales transactions declined by 21.2% in the first quarter of 2011 to 17,373, compared with same period of 2010.
