Lebanon to return Iraqi cash

Lebanon's prosecutor general has said that more than $15 million of Iraqi money which was seized on a plane that landed in Beirut in January will be returned to Baghdad. Adnan Addoum said the money will be returned after the Iraqi Foreign Ministry had sent a letter demanding the cash.

Authorities on 14 January took control of NID 19,500 million found on board a Lebanese-owned private plane that had arrived from Baghdad. Three men who were arrested at the time were later released on bail.
