Contract covers construction of airport building
Libyas Waha Oil has invited companies to pre-qualify for contracts covering the construction of an airport building and related infrastructure at Samah oil field.
The scope of work covers the construction of a 343 square metre airport building, as well as a waiting lounge, office and electrical and generator rooms.
The contract will also cover the design and supply of materials for the installation of an airfield lighting system and jet fuel system as well as the implementation of a 3-km communication link between Samah Camp and the airport.
The deadline for the submission of prequalification documents has been set for 28 July.
Samah oil field is more than 900km south-east of Tripoli. Waha Oil is owned by the state-run National Oil Corporation in a joint venture with American firms ConocoPhillips, Marathon and Amerada Hess.
