Life sentences for Palestinians behind Netanya Passover attack

15 April 2003
Four Palestinians accused of masterminding a suicide bombing which killed 29 Israelis last year have been sentenced to life imprisonment by an Israeli military court. The bombing took place at the Park Hotel in the coastal resort of Netanya, during the annual Passover holiday, and was the deadliest single attack on Israelis since the beginning of the current intifada in September 2000. The four, all Hamas members, were each given 29 life sentences with an additional 20 years for plotting a suicide bombing.
