Lindner Depa Interiors has been awarded a AED375m ($102m) contract for the complete fit-out of 13 stations on the red line of the Dubai Metro.

The works involve fitting out stations from Jebel Ali Port, along Sheikh Zayed Road and past Burjuman, Al-Rigga, Dubai International Airport and ending at Rashidiya. The fit-outs will be based on two themes, fire and water, and completion is expected in September 2009.

The client is the JT Metro joint venture, comprised of Obayashi Corporation, Kajima Corporation, both of Japan; and Turkey’s Yapi Merkezi, which is also executing the project's building works.

China's Architectural Engineering was recently awarded a AED183m ($50m) contract to build external structures for the red line stations of the Dubai Metro (MEED 19:3:08).
