Metito wins deal for sewage treatment plant
Saudi developer Tanmiyat Group has awarded a contract for wastewater treatment services at its Living Legends residential development in Dubailand to the local Metito.
The work involves design and construction of an underground sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 3,600 cubic metres a day of domestic waste. The treated water will be used for irrigation in the development and possibly district cooling needs.
The long-delayed $2bn Living Legends project consists of villas, 12 towers between eight and 20 storeys tall and facilities that cover 2.3 million square metres. The local Delta Emirates Contracting is the main contractor.
