Transport ministry received bids from five local contractors on $5.5m deal
The local National Skyline Projects is the frontrunner to win a contract to design and build a series of link roads at Wilayat of Ibri, in the northwestern Adh-Dhahirah region of Oman.
Oman’s Transport and Communications Ministry received bids for the deal on 22 February, according to bid documents seen by MEED.
National Skyline Projects submitted the lowest price of OR2.1m ($5.5m) for the deal. This is 4.5 per cent lower than the price of OR2.2m submitted by the second lowest bidder, the local Arabian Projects & Transport group. Desert Convoy, also local, submitted the third lowest bid of OR2.4m.
The other bidders were the local Amjad Majan and Dunes International Projects. An award is expected in the second quarter of the year.
