Groundbreaking is scheduled for May this year, with completion to follow in 2012
The local Hassan Allam Construction (HAC) plans to start construction work on a 45,000-square-metre resort in Sharm El-Sheikh in late-May.
The 600-room Baia Bianca development, which will be located on a site facing the Red Sea at the foot of the Sinai Mountains, is set for completion in May 2012.
Hassan Allam Properties, the property development arm of Hassan Allam Holding, appointed US-based Perkins Eastman to design the seaside resort. According to the Perkins Eastman, principal in charge of the project, the hotel incorporates a series of courtyards and a central lagoon.
Hassan Allam Holding is one of Egypt’s largest construction and property companies. Its property division is also developing four residential communities in Cairo. They include:
- Swan Lake Katameya
- Swan Lake Sixth October
- Park View Katameya
- Seasons Residence Katameya
On the Red Sea coast, Hassam Allam Properties is developing Little Venice Golf Resort in Ain El-Sokhna as well as Baia Bianca.
