Local contractor wins Oman industrial infrastructure work

Firm will construct infrastructure at Raysut Industrial City

The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) has signed an agreement with the local Al-Hashemi & Al-Rawas Trading & Contracting Company for the construction of infrastructure serving Raysut Industrial City (Raysut 2) on the outskirts of Salalah.

The total value of the contracts is RO4m ($10m) and they cover an area of 1 million square metres.

Madayn's other developments include the Knowledge Oasis Muscat, and industrial parks in Sohar, Rusayl, Sur, Nizwa, Buraimi, Al-Mazunah and Samail.

Madayn recently awarded Oman Investment & Development Holding Company (Mubadrah) a public-private partnership (PPP) contract to manage and develop Rusayl Industrial City.

Established in 1983, Rusayl Industrial City is located about 20 kilometres outside of Muscat and covers an area of about 8 square kilometres.
