• Local contractor appointed for Dubai scheme
  • Town Square project expected to be completed by 2025

Local developer Nshama has awarded a construction contract to the local Unec to build the first phase of its Town Square project in Dubai.

The contract involves the construction of the Zahra and Safi apartments.

Nshama has so far awarded the local Al-Naboodah Contracting a AED22m ($6m) deal for earthworks covering the areas of the Zahra and Hayat townhouses and apartments.

Nshama also recently awarded the first-phase deep services contract for the development to the local office of Binladin Contracting.

Nshama launched the first phase of the Town Square scheme in early March. Once fully complete, the development will have 3,000 townhouses and 18,000 apartments, as well as a central square, which will comprise retail, hospitality and commercial space, including a range of lifestyle choices such as the Vida Town Square Dubai hotel and a Reel Cinemas cineplex and open-air cinema.

The development is expected to be completed by 2025.
