SKS submitted a price of KD9.49m ($35.7) for the work.
The second lowest bid of KD31.2m was submitted by the local Kharafi National. Bids were also submitted by the local 3B General Contracting & Trading Establishment, Heavy Engineering Industries & Shipbuilding Company, Total General Trading & Contracting Company and Egypt’s Misr Mechanical & Electrical Projects.
Two companies which prequalified for the work did not submit a price. They were the local Finesco International Trading & Contracting Company and Alghanim International Corporation.
