Scheme planned to ease traffic congestion

- Scope involves construction and rehabilitation work on Saad al-Abdullah Road to the Buhaith road entrance
Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction & Contracting (KCPC) has submitted a low bid of $324m for construction and rehabilitation work on Saad al-Abdullah Road to the Buhaith road entrance in Kuwait.
In addition to design and construction work, the project scope calls for the maintenance of rainwater sewage, sanitary and other associated utilities.
The other contractors and their financial offers include:
- Consolidated Contractors Company (Athens-based; Kuwait subsidiary) $344m
- Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons (local) $339m
- Green Line General Trading & Contracting (local) $335m
- Al-Ahmadiah Contracting & Trading (local) $329m
- Combined Group Contracting Company (local) $329m
The project was tendered earlier this year along with several other road schemes, which are designed to address the growing traffic congestion problems in the city, as well as develop and rehabilitate Kuwaits major roads, to facilitate increased passenger and trade movement by land.
