The contract calls for the supply and installation of two three-storey living quarter topsides, three jackets and four bridges. In addition, L&T will install two new power modules and two helidecks. The new facilities will be connected by bridges to existing facilities in the PS-2 and PS-3 complexes. The contract will take 24 months, with completion set for December 2004.
The contract is L&T's first major award in the Qatari offshore oil and gas sector. It follows up recent awards in Kuwait and Oman and is further evidence of the company's international push.
