Lukoil tenders Mishrif master engineering services

03 December 2014

Companies asked to bid for West Qurna 2 oil field contract in Iraq by 30 December

Russia’s Lukoil has invited companies to bid on master engineering services for Mishrif early oil projects at its West Qurna 2 oil field development in south Iraq.

The group has asked contractors to submit proposals by 30 December 2014 with the tender documents available until 22 December.

The project is part of the phase-two expansion of production facilities at West Qurna 2. Lukoil started production on the first phase in southern Iraq in March and has ramped output up to 280,000 barrels a day (b/d). The first phase of the project, named Early Oil, has a nameplate capacity of 400,000 b/d.

The second phase, also known as the Mishrif Full Field Development, will increase production by 150,000 b/d to 550,000 b/d. Lukoil has hired Australia’s WorleyParsons as the project management consultant (PMC) for the expansion.

Lukoil tendered the EPC contracts for the water injection and oil gathering systems in February 2014 but has not officially awarded the contracts.
