Mabruk technical bids in

Seven companies have submitted technical bids for the second stage of work on the Mabruk field. Bidders include Athens-based Joannou & Paraskevaides (J&P - Overseas), Germany's MAN GHH, Bonattiof Italy, Paris-based Technipand HyundaiEngineering & Construction Companyof South Korea. Once technical classification has been evaluated, preferred bidders will be invited to submit commercial bids. The client is Compagnie des Petroles Total Libye (CPTL), the local operating subsidiary of France's Total.

The development project is intended to boost output at Mabruk to at least 40,000 barrels a day (b/d) from present production of about 18,000 b/d. The scope of works for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract includes the construction of a gas-oil separation plant (GOSP) with two process trains - one for the west, east and central Mabruk fields and the other for the Dahra and Garian fields (MEED 12:9:03; 4:7:03).
