Development will be located in Yaafour to the west of Damascus
Peter Walichnowski, chief executive of Majid al-Futtaim Properties, has said that $1bn worth of construction contracts for a real estate project in Syria are expected to be tendered by February next year, Reuters has reported. Several contractors are likely to be separately awarded different parts of the project on a 1 million sq m piece of land in Yaafour west of Damascus, he said. “Typically you would be breaking down the project into the different buildings, the shopping mall, hotels and office buildings,” Walichnowski told the news service.
