Majid al-Futtaim plans Ajman City Centre expansion

03 December 2007
The local Majid al-Futtaim (MAF) Shopping Malls is planning an estimated AED1bn ($272m) expansion for its City Centre mall in Ajman emirate.

It involves the construction of an 85,000 square metre extension to the shopping mall and a new Ibis hotel.
Poland’s Bose is the consultant. The UK’s Mace International is the project manager. The local Arabtec Contracting built the original mall.
The project is the latest mall project to be planned by MAF this year. In August, it awarded an estimated AED2.6bn ($708m) contract to the local Alec to build a shopping centre in the Mirdif area of Dubai (MEED 17:8:07).
