Prequalifiers include the local/UK Al-Naboodah Laing, the local/South African joint venture of Al-Habtoor Engineering Enterpriseswith Murray & Roberts Contractors (Middle East), Lebanon's Arabian Construction Companywith Interbeton of the Netherlands and the local/South African Al-Jaber Grinaker LTA. The 18-month contract calls for the construction of a 400-room hotel, which will be managed by Kempinski Hotels & Resorts. The project manager is the UK's Mace International(MEED 19:3:04).
