Manazel bids low for Saudi university contract

The Saudi-based contractor Manazel is the low bidder for the construction contract at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.

Three bids were received for the work, with Manazel submitting a price of SR165m ($44m). The project was originally valued at SR250m.

The project is for the construction of one building at the university. The Ministry of Education is the client.

The award for the university building at Taibah University near Medina is also expected soon. The contract is valued at SR450m. At least three local contractors have submitted bids, including Al-Harbi, Al-Khalerije and Al-Redwan Contracting Company (MEED 3:6:08).
