Construction work will be completed by 2020

Bahrains Marina Club project, which was expected to be completed by 2019, has been delayed, according to a statement made local developer Amlak Real Estate.
Work will be carried out in one go and not in different phases, which means a rigorous approach if we are going to complete the project by 2020, says Waleed Janahi, the firms projects and facility management director.
The mixed-use scheme will include a luxury hotel and serviced apartments, waterfront villas, a shopping mall, and a recreational waterfront space with dining and retail facilities.
The project will span nearly 150,000 square metres, covering the area of the existing Marina Club. The yacht club will have the capacity to dock more than 300 boats.
Amlak Real Estate is the real estate investment arm, and wholly-owned subsidiary, of the Social Insurance Organisation. The marina project will be the first development since the establishment of the company.
In January, Amlak Real Estate announced the appointment of Irish project management firm Bruce Shaw for the scheme.
