Contractors given more time to prepare zero carbon city tenders
Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) has extended the closing date for commercial bids to build its headquarters at the zero-carbon Masdar City development in Abu Dhabi until 6 September.
The original closing date of 23 August was set when technical bids were submitted in July.
Masdar has shortlisted four companies for the tender: the UAE’s Al-Habtoor Engineering Enterprises with South Africa’s Murray & Roberts Contractors (Middle East); US-based Contrack International; Germany’s Ed Zueblin; and Japan’s Taisei Corporation.
The architect is Chicago-based Adrian Smith & Gordon Gill Architecture. Louis Berger Group is the project manager.
