Biography: Maurice Faber began his career as a service engineer at Nato Maintenance Support Agency in 1985.
He joined Siemens in 1986 as a service engineer in Algeria, managing installation projects and maintaining equipment. Faber became the technical manager and project manager for Siemens Healthcare in Saudi Arabia in 1989. In 1992, he was appointed regional technical manager for the GCC, with the remit of improving cooperation between the countries to establish a centralised technical management function.
He became general manager of Siemens Healthcare division for the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Yemen and Bahrain in 2000, moving on to become vice president of Siemens Healthcare in the Middle East in 2006.
Faber has an electronics engineering diploma from the Institut Universitaire International de Luxembourg.
