There are a total of $7,500 million worth of major projects in Dubai and about $7,000 million emerging in the Abu Dhabi oil and gas centre, MEED reports in a special report about the UAEin the 14 March edition of the business weekly.
The Dubai projects include plans for expanding ports and new real estate schemes. The oil and gas projectsare being developed by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and its subsidiaries designed to increase oil production capacity by at lest 600,000 barrels a day (b/d). At present, Abu Dhabi produces about 2 million b/d of crude oil.
