Microsoft has announced the availability of the official version of the Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 RC to testers on October 26, ZDnet has reported. The company said the final version of SP1 — which includes fixes, security updates and, on the server side, new virtualisation features - is expected to be released in Q1 2011.
