Microsoft has released to manufacturing (RTM) the latest versions of its flagship desktop and server operating systems, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The software giant is preparing for the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 worldwide general launch on October 22. Individuals purchasing new computers with Windows Vista will receive a guaranteed upgrade to Windows 7 for a limited time, the firm has said.
