18 October 2010

Middle East firms are still preferring on premise IT solutions ahead of on demand and as a service offerings, IT vendor Oracle has stated. Speaking at GITEX Fadi Abdulkhalek, vice president, public sector MEA applications, Oracle, stated that the firm has seen more interest in its Fusion applications as on premise solutions. "In the Middle East the majority of interest is for on premise but we expect that on demand will pick up, obviously in other parts of the world on demand is the preferred offering so we expect in the Middle East this will pick up in the short or medium term," Abdulkhalek stated.
