Middle East needs more airports

The need for new airports - especially low-cost, or secondary, airports - has never been greater in the Middle East, according to the CEO of Air Arabia, the largest low-cost carrier in the Mena Region. Pointing to the successful development of Sharjah Airport, the carrier's primary hub, Adel Ali said the region must invest in the development of secondary airports that will support increased activity in the LCC sector.
