Militants attack police station

04 December 2003
Anti-coalition militants on 4 December attacked a local police in central Iraq, injuring at least six people - four policemen and two civilians. The attack happened in the town of Ramadi, some 160 kilometers west of Baghdad. The building was hit by two rockets as policemen gathered to receive their salaries, said local police officer, Samir Habib.

The attack came hours after a series of US-led raids on premises in Tikrit. US forces found a cache of illegal weapons, reported Saudi Arabia's official SPA news agency.
