Biography: Mohamed Abdah is the director of the transportation and infrastructure planning department at the Municipality & Urban Planning Ministry.
The ministry drew up the transportation masterplan for Qatar and has been involved in the conceptual stages of major schemes, such as the planned Doha Bay crossing. Abdah worked for Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority between 2005 and 2007 as a road safety specialist.
He moved to Qatar in 2007 to take up the position of technical coordinator for the transportation and infrastructure planning section. Prior to his roles in the Middle East, Abdah worked in Australia for about 20 years. During this time, he spent 16 years with VicRoads, the state of Victoria’s road management authority. Abdah graduated in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
