More Al-Abdali work let

The Amman office of Sharjah-based Al-Hamad Contracting Company and local firms Issam Khatib Contracting Company, and Madaen al-Nour Real Estate Investment & Development have signed contracts with Abdali Development & Investment Company (ADIC) to develop separate sections of the Al-Abdali mixed-use real estate project in Amman.

Al-Hamad is the main contractor on the construction of a $15 million, 28-metre-high, eight-storey office building with two basements and commercial outlets over two plots of land covering a total area of 14,000 square metres. The local Consolidated Consultants is the design consultant. The architect is the local Jafar Tukan & Partners. Excavation work on the site is being carried out by a local company identified as Al-Haq. Work is due to be completed by 2007. Issam Khatib is the main contractor on the construction of a seven-storey commercial building on a 4,045-square-metre-plot. The architect is the local Saris & Saris Architects. Work is due to start in August and be completed by 2008. Madaen will develop one 20-storey tower and one eight-storey commercial building over two plots of land covering 20,512 square metres (MEED 27:1:06).
