More rotating towers planned for Dubai

Local developer 360 Degree Time World plans to build a tower in Dubai that will rotate 360 degrees in seven days.

It follows the launch on 24 June of another rotating tower called Dynamic Tower which is being planned for Dubai by the US' Dynamic Group.

Known as 55 Degree Time Dubai, the latest tower will be the first of 24 similar buildings to be constructed around the world. The Dubai tower will be built on land purchased from Dubai-based developer Meraas. Completion is expected in 2011.

The consultancy team comprises UK-based Bennett’s Associates, Glenn Howells Concept Architects also UK-based, P&T Architects & Engineers, and the local Kulkarni as project manager.

Local developer High Rise Real Estate is also planning a rotating tower at Jumeirah Village (MEED 28:5:08).
