Biography: Morteza Khazanedari was appointed managing director of TSETMC in 2001 and has played a key role in modernising trading platforms used in the Tehran Stock Exchange.
Khazanedari joined the TSETMC in 1993 and worked as a senior consultant from 1995-97. Before taking up his current position, Khazanedari was technical vice-president at TSETMC for four years.
The TSETMC’s role is to develop, operate, and maintain IT systems for all stages of trading on the market, including over-the-counter trades. In 2007, Khazanedari oversaw the installation of the Euronext trading system, which increased market transparency and attracted a higher number of domestic and foreign investors.
Khazanedari graduated in 1996 with a master’s degree in system management and optimisation from Tehran’s Sharif University of Technology.
