A tender will be issued for the superstructure during the summer. The prequalifiers for the contract in June 2006 were Turkey's Baytur Construction & Contracting Company, France's Bouygues, South Africa's Murray & Roberts Contractors (Middle East) with the local Nass Contracting and Belgium's Six Construct.
US-based Turner Construction International is the project manager. SOM, also of the US, is the architect. The UK’s Atkins is the local architect and engineer. Arcapita is the client.
The joint venture of Murray & Roberts and Nass Contracting were awarded the estimated $160m main contract for the Arcapita headquarters building at Bahrain Bay in March 2007.
