While the firm will continue to have a base in Kuwait, chief executive officer Donald Featherston says the developments planned and under way in Abu Dhabi represent opportunities for growth.
“We very much see the emirates as the key to our future growth plans. Kuwait is the heritage of the company and I see that as an important part of the company going forward but the UAE market is one of the most attractive construction markets in the world right now,” he says.
The company has already undertaken some work in Abu Dhabi. It is currently involved with the $1.2bn Central Market project being developed by the local Aldar. It was awarded the $125m construction contract for the basement structure and the souk, which will have 302 shops.
